‘Big Thank You’ gears up again in 2017

Back to all news 15 May 2017

As the principal sponsor of the 2017 Premier’s Reading Challenge, TUH is once again inviting students to join our 'Big Thank You' to tell their teacher how they have inspired in them a love of reading.

TUH first ran the 'Big Thank You' giveaway for schools in 2015. As well as giving our teachers some well-deserved recognition, the initiative is a great opportunity for TUH to continue our support of education community in Queensland.

Students can win $50 for themselves and help their school to buy resources.

Last year we received 1,341 thank-you messages from students to 779 teachers at 387 schools and early childhood centres across Queensland. There were one hundred student winners and we were delighted to present five schools with $1,000 each. Congratulations to Cavendish Road State High School (Coorparoo), Groves Christian College (Logan), Kruger State School, Mundubbera State School and St Mary MacKillop Primary School (Birkdale) and thanks for making us so welcome when we visited recently.

Want to get involved this year?

In November, during the Premier’s Reading Challenge Celebration Weeks, students who complete the 2017 Premier’s Reading Challenge will receive an invitation to participate in the Big Thank You. The Big Thank You is open to all Queensland students from P-12 and children in early childhood centres (with help from mum or dad). Students can also enter before the official invitations go out by visiting www.bigthankyou.com.au.
