On 1 July 2025, TUH and Teachers Health have officially merged to form a stronger, national not-for-profit health fund under the Teachers Health Group banner. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for our members and the broader education and healthcare communities we serve.

This merger brings together two trusted, union-based, not-for-profit health funds with over 120 years of combined experience. Together, we are now Australia’s largest industry health fund and the sixth largest private health fund overall.
As the only health fund in Australia dedicated to teachers, education staff, nurses, midwives, and carers, the new Teachers Health Group is uniquely positioned to deliver more value, broader support, and a stronger future for nearly 500,000 members.
