The QCT registers teachers for Queensland schools and accredits the state's pre-service teacher education programs. We value quality teaching and child safety. Established in 1889, the QTU has chalked up over a century of achievement in helping teachers throughout Queensland, and is now the voice of more than 48,000 teachers in the Queensland Government's primary schools, secondary schools, special schools, senior colleges, TAFE colleges and other educational facilities. IEUA-QNT is an organising union which works to improve the lives of more than 17,000 members and associates who are working, preparing for employment, or have worked in the non-government education sector in Queensland and the Northern Territory.
