TUH launches Future of Teaching Bursary for IEUA-QNT members

2020 has provided unique challenges for the wellbeing of the education community both physically and mentally. Schools and students have had to learn smarter ways to learn, to keep in touch with each other and remain connected as a community.

We’ve been blown away by the stories of how innovative, fresh thinking has turned these challenges into opportunities to thrive - rather than survive - in the new reality we’re all facing!

We also want to help, which is why we’ve set up the inaugural Future of Teaching Bursary.

This bursary is designed to support and encourage educators who deliver innovative solutions that can benefit their careers and their wider communities in the post-COVID world of learning. We’ll be giving one of our members, who is also a member of the IEUA-QNT, $5000 to spend on a single professional development course, a set of professional learning activities or to fund research into innovative learning solutions.

The application process is simple – we know teachers are busy people and don’t need extra homework. Candidates just need to provide a short personal statement about themselves, their commitment to education and how the grant will add value to the QLD / NT education community. The successful applicant must demonstrate their willingness to share learnings with IEUA-QNT member colleagues and the wider education community.

TUH is driven by our ongoing pursuit of excellence. We are curious and have the courage to create new possibilities and we’re passionate about taking care of our members, our business, and one another. We see this bursary as an excellent way to live these values and give back, in a tangible way, to the education community.

Applications close on Friday 20 November at 5pm. The successful applicant will be announced at the end of the 2020 school year.
