When planning a family there’s a lot to consider – we get it and we’re here to help.
Whether you have hospital cover, extras - or both, now's the perfect time to check your cover will provide the right care for you and your family now - and in the future.

Even if you already have hospital cover, things are changing and you may need to think about additional services you haven't considered before.

Are you covered for maternity and assisted reproductive services? It's important to plan ahead if you're not already covered for these services as there's a 12-month wait before you can claim.

Combining your hospital cover with our selected extras will give you access to some important services designed to keep you and your family well. And, if you're on a single or couples policy, remember to upgrade to a single parent or family policy to make sure baby's included on your cover. You can do this after baby arrives, simply add them to your cover within 3 months from date of birth and they won't have waiting periods for anything you've already served.

If you have a hospital visit coming up, ask your doctor for an estimate of possible costs (called informed financial consent) and ask if they’ll charge you under our access gap scheme which will help save on out-of-pocket costs.
